At a national summit this week, Native American leaders addressed the conflict between NCLB requirements and the Native American Languages Act. They asked Congress and federal education officials to “to provide relief from provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act that they see as obstacles to running the language-immersion schools they need to keep their languages from disappearing.” Source: Education Week
