What’s wrong with Gov. Rick Scott’s education “reform” agenda in Florida? Everything, writes Diane Ravitch. “Florida is developing a school system that will prepare young people for the repetitive factory jobs that left our shores long ago. And Florida will be a state that self-respecting teachers leave or shun.” Source: St. Petersburg Times

This is too opinionated and how can this person make a statement that represents all the children or America. If you don’t know your history good or bad, you are likely to repeat it. The issue that were so destructive in History is still lingering, there are just laws that protect people now. And students drop out of school in every state, histroy has nothing to do with it. Crime, parental incompetence, laziness, ignorance,
poor education and prejudice are some of the many reasons people drop out of school.
