Report: Students Have Shallow Grasp of Science

The just-released 2009 National Assessment of Educational Progress study found that most students who were asked to solve test problems using hands-on and computer-based science activities could correctly solve the problem, but only a small percentage could explain the reasoning behind their solutions.
