I’m a middle school Computer Science and Electronics teacher in Fort Collins, CO. I’m passionate about helping kids learn to be authentic problem solvers with modern tools – including computer code! Allen Distinguished Educator 2016. I originally received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1997.
After almost a decade working in the tech industry, I went to school again for a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Colorado State University. I have been a public school educator since 2008, teaching mathematics, science, technology and enrichment classes.
I also enjoy teaching summer camps and STEM workshops, and making fun technology projects on my own time. I have been our school’s Association Representative for Poudre Education Association for two years, and I was part of NEA’s Teacher Leadership Initiative, both as a participant and as a mentor.
